LIST OF THE MOST IMPORTANT R-SENTENCES


R10:
Flammable

Solvent based ink systems with from +21 to +55 °C.

R11:
Highly flammable

For pressurised containers. Aerosol is highly flammable (flash point Solvent based ink systems containing ethylacetate.

Products like Wiecostat spray, Screen spray thinner HG/VSP.

R20:
Harmful by inhalation

Applies to products containing solvents like cyclohexanone, butylglycolacetate, xylene, toluene etc. Potential hazard only in case of insufficient air circulation and exceeding MAK values.

Ink ranges like J, RF-K, Z/PVC, adhesion promoter PP.

R21:
Harmful in contact with skin

Applies to solvent based ink systems, especially skin resorbing solvents such as cyclohexanone, xylene, butylglycolacetate.

Ink ranges like ZM, ZMN

R36/37/38:
Irritating to eyes, respiratory system and skin

Applies to solvent based and UV-curing ink systems. Irritant components are mainly solvents and acrylic resins.
Ink ranges like UVN, UVP, UVGL.

R41:
Risk of serious damage to eyes

Potential risk only by eye contact. Low potential irritation of skin and respiratory system:
Products like ink range HG, retarder UV1.

R43:
May cause sensitisation by skin contact

Mainly applies to UV-curing ink systems.
Resins contained my cause allergic reactions.
Ink ranges like UVP, UVN, UVGL.

R51/53, 52/53:
Toxic or Harmful to aquatic organisms, may cause long-term adverse effects in the aquatic environment

Especially UV-ink systems and thinners, cleaning agents containing Solvent Naphtha.
Only relevant if liquid product is led into the aquatic system.

Ink ranges like UVP, UVN, UVGL, TP 300, Z/GL.

R65:
Harmful: may cause lung damage if swallowed

Only for low viscous products containing aromatic hydrocarbons (thinners, cleaning agents). Health hazard only if swallowed.
Risk of lung oedema in case swallowed product is vomited.

Products like additive A, URS 3

R66/67:
Repeated exposure may cause skin dryness or cracking. Vapours may cause drowsiness or dizziness

Systems containing solvents like butylacetate or butanol.

Products like thinner ZVSP, cleaning agent URS 3
