New Development for Printing onto PVC-Materials - UVX

There are quite a variety of UV-curing inks suitable for PVC materials. However most UV inks have a more or less adverse effect on material properties. E.g. tear resistance of PVC adhesive foils and impact strength of rigid PVC foils is reduced.
With UVX we developed an ink system with little influence on tear resistance and impact strength of PVC materials.

In addition we only used raw materials with a low skin irritant potential.

UVX inks are highly reactive and can be cured with low amounts of UV energy. Trials carried out at Coates showed that UVX process colours processed with a 150-31 fabric only require curing energies of 100 mJ/cm².

Due to these curing properties UVX is very suitable for multi-colour equipment. In addition to this low energy requirement there is only little thermal influence on the substrate. UVX inks are offered in base colours of the C-MIX-2000 system and as process colours. UVX inks are weather resistant and suitable for outdoor applications (approx. 2-3 years).
